Macy's Preschool graduation

Macy had her preschool graduation last week.  She finished her 3-4 year old pre-K class.  She isn't finish quite yet, she has one more year of preschool.  She misses the public school cutoff by 30 days.  I am actually ok with it because I think it is better to be one of the older kids verses one of the younger.  She is excited to be in school next year with Miss Suzi and Miss Lori again.  She loves them and gets excited everyday about going to Miss Lori's house.  Next year she will be in the Pre-K class and will get to go twice a week for four hours and take lunch.  She is looking forward to taking her Tinkerbell lunch box with her.  Her favorite part of school is gathering time, craft time, and learning new songs.  She plays at   home and is always singing.  She sings while she's coloring, in the bath, walking around, she even sings when she is reading books.  I love to hear her little voice, I still need to record her so she can hear herself later in life.  She is growing up too fast and I miss those chubby little baby cheeks.  She is a joy to have in our home most of the time.  She has her moments when she is a stubborn little thing but overall she is a sweetie!

June 2010 in Boston

This is an old post from almost two years ago that I realized I never published. There are some great photos included.  We had a great time in Boston.  I flew to Boston with Ashton and Cameron on the red eye flight from Vegas.  We were all really tired when we arrived.  We stayed with Andrew(my brother) and Stacy (his wife).  My mom, Max and Bailey and Michaela were already there. they had been traveling on the the east coast together.  The kids had 4 5 fun filled days to explore Boston.  We went to the beach, the aquarium, the children's science museum, etc.  The kids loved the beach they caught crabs, collected shells and seaweed.  Cameron got beat up at the beach when he slipped

on some rocks and landed on barnacles. He had the war wounds to prove it.  The aquarium is small but still a great place to see sea life of all kinds.  The kids loved the park riding on the merry-go-round and the swan boats.  The weather was great while we were there too.  One of the best parts of the science museum was the butterfly observatory.  A small room with live butterflies flying around and they are beautiful.  This is a trip that the kids will truly remember always!

CAMERON'S 7th BIRTHDAY

Cameron enjoyed his birthday swimming, lounging, and playing in the pool.  He LOVED his birthday cake especially the homemade chocolates frosting.  We used the leftover frosting to make graham cracker sandwiches and that made him even happier.  He is definitely our child that like his sugar!  Jill, Jay, and Samantha helped celebrate with us.  The day before we took Cam and his brothers to see "The Avengers" and when we left Cam said, "This is the best birthday ever!"  Kurtis took Cam out to lunch for special one on one time with dad.  He let him choose the restaurant and you will never guess where he wanted to go.  He initially chose Five Guys but all the boys had eaten there with Kurtis a few days before for take your child to work day.  The next best place in Cam's eyes is good old McDonald's.  He had an all around great day!

Two proud gardeners showing off their gigantic carrots. Yes, gardening in the desert is challenging but fun. Ashton on his baptism day. We are so proud of him and his willingness to follow Jesus.

Cam played his first season of T ball this year and loved it. He can't wait to "hit the ball out of the air" like the big guys do.

Fun at the Rebels game! Ashton got to meet the whole team for his youth basketball league so he really enjoyed watching the players and the nachos were pretty good too!
